How to travel by plane comfortably

Traveling is fun. New discoveries, impressions and acquaintances, a good rest and many pleasant trifles – all this makes the vacation bright and eventful. The more even and serene the journey is, the more pleasure you can get from the trip, and the good mood will remain longer after its completion.

The long wait for departure, the length of the registration procedures at the airport, and the flight itself is quite tiring, so it can spoil the mood of a tourist and worsen the experience of even the most desired trip.

How to make air travel comfortable? We have prepared for you five simple but effective travel tips to help make your trip much more pleasant than it could be.

Best time to fly
Despite the fact that many people consider it more rational to go on a trip in the evening, so that in the afternoon or even in the morning go to meet the pleasures of joy and local attractions, we will try to refute this statement. Firstly, in the morning the probability of flight delay is slightly lower than in the evening, and secondly, in the morning the turbulence is less, which makes the flight more comfortable for aerophobes. So, if that matters to you, try revising your travel time.

Special menu on the plane
Want a better meal on board? Try to choose a special menu, not the usual one – kosher, halal, vegetarian or any other offered by your airline. Believe me, a pleasant surprise awaits you – these dishes will be much more varied and tastier than the standard edible set of regular on-board meals.

Choosing drinks on board
We will not once again repeat the recommendations of doctors who convince themselves of the dangers of alcoholic beverages, strong coffee and tea during the flight, but let’s talk about hygiene. Did you know that numerous tests of the water used on planes to make hot drinks for passengers often show the presence of pathogenic bacteria in it? The saddest thing is that Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and other unpleasant “friends” of the laboratory were found in samples from various airlines. Therefore, we suggest you not to risk it, and give preference to products that have undergone a thorough factory heat treatment – bottled water, drinks and juices in this case will be much safer, especially for young passengers.

The dirtiest place on the plane
Continuing the topic of hygiene, we’ll talk about the most dirty and, accordingly, the most hazardous places for health in the cabin, so get ready to experience a little cultural shock. Pockets located on the backs of passenger seats and folding tables – it would seem that they, like the most popular items during the flight, should always be fully prepared for use by passengers, that is, they are clean and safe, but, alas, this is not so.

Most passengers put various debris in their pockets during the flight, plus dust, crumbs and small rubbish constantly accumulate on their bottom, and the folding shelf is generally so multifunctional that it’s even too much. Did you know that quite often they are used by passengers with small children as changing tables? Therefore, we strongly recommend that you take a pack of wet antibacterial wipes with you on board the aircraft, and before you put your sandwich past the tray on the folding table, remember the diapers that may have recently been lying right here. Sorry.

How not to freeze in an airplane?
Did you know that the air temperature is not the same in different parts of the cabin? Since during the flight the weather overboard pleases with a very solid frost (up to -60 – -65 ° C), the fuselage, accordingly, also stands up well, which can be felt in places near the windows. The temperature difference, of course, is not colossal, but it can still bring certain inconvenience to passengers who decided to enjoy the scenic views from the window during the flight. This is especially felt in the summer, when clothes are as light as possible and practically unable to warm their owner. So, if you want to fly near the window, be sure to choose something warmer for the flight than a T-shirt with shorts, and you can enjoy not only landscapes with clouds, but also comfort.
