Christmas Market in Paris
From November 25 (until January 2, 2017) the first Christmas market in Paris has already opened on the Champs Elysees. On the main street of the city, an unusual Christmas village has already been established with wooden houses, shops where you can buy many different souvenirs and delicacies. At the Paris Winter Fair, you can taste not only pancakes, waffles and hot chocolate, but also signature French dishes and drinks – foie gras, truffles, champagne and various cheeses.
The Christmas market of the Tivoli-Copenhagen Gardens is already open (from November 12). The market will work in 2017 until January 1. This year the fair will be thematic – guests and tourists will be able to plunge into the exciting traditions of Scandinavian Christmas. Everyone will be able to ride on new attractions: the Siberian Express, the Russian troika, the Chinese lantern, a musical carousel and a swing. As in previous years, the park’s lake will turn into a skating rink, and traditional kiosks will offer their customers pancakes with different fillings, honey gingerbread cookies and traditional Scandinavian cookies klejners.
Christmas market in Vienna
You can see the famous Austrian Christmas market by visiting Vienna from November 12 to December 24, 2016 – it was at this time that a real winter fairy tale unfolds on Town Hall Square. Hundreds of neat little pavilions with pine-decorated roofs offer their customers painted Christmas toys, souvenirs, Christmas figures, warm clothes and handmade souvenirs, sweets and fragrant hot mulled wine.
When you walk around the Vienna Christmas market, be sure to treat yourself to hot fried almonds and a cup of spicy mulled wine – everyone should feel this magical taste of Christmas!
Christmas Fair in Salzburg
From November 17 to December 26, the Cathedral Square and the Residenzplatz-Salzburg fair will run. This year’s fair program includes choral singing, orchestra performances and an exhibition in the backyard of Residenzplatz.
Christmas market in Dresden
Dresden-Münzgasse. This is the oldest Christmas market in Germany, which you can visit from November 24 to December 24, 2016. This year you will have an unforgettable performance: in the center of the market square there will be a 14-meter pyramid made by masters of ore mountains, which will turn into a real puppet theater with revived wooden figures on December 10th. On December 14 (the second Sunday of the month) in Dresden-Münzgass, they will choose a gingerbread princess and hold the annual Stöln fruit cake festival.
From November 25 to December 29, 2016, the Main Christmas Market in Budapest will last. This authentic winter market is located on the central pedestrian square of Vereshmarti.
Incredibly tasty mulled wine, souvenirs, jewelry, handmade clothes and accessories, traditional Hungarian delicacies and many colorful gizmos will surely melt the ice in the hearts of even the most demanding tourists. And those guests of the festive bazaar who love brighter modern shopping will definitely appreciate the nearby boutiques and shops of famous European brands, restaurants and small cozy cafes.
Fair in Brussels
The Grand Place Fair in Brussels will run from November 25 to January 1, 2016. This is a huge Christmas market, which consists of 240 houses, pavilions, in which you can find everything that your heart desires. Visitors to the fair are sure to try traditional Belgian food – donuts, waffles, mussels, litorines and, of course, local beer. This year, the Iceberg interactive sound and sound installation will be installed at the Place de la Monnet Fair.
Prague Christmas Market
From November 26, 2013 to January 1, 2017 there will be a Christmas market in Prague on Old Town Square.
