Disneyland Park, France
In the town of Marne-la-Valais, 32 km east of Paris, is located one of the most famous in the world and the most visited amusement park complex in Europe – Disneyland. In addition to Disneyland Park, there is also a Disney Village amusement park, Walt Disney Studios Park, residential and business districts, a hotel complex and a Golf Disneyland golf course.
For children of school age, Disneyland provides tours to the set (Production Courtyard), where they can look behind the curtains of this magical “dream factory”.
Hours: Disneyland Park is open daily in the summer from 10:00 to 23:00. From September to May, Disneyland is open until 8:30 p.m. The Walt Disney Studios Park is open daily in the summer from 10:00 to 19:00, from September to May – until 18:00, but it is better to check the closing hours of this entertainment complex on the day of visit.
How to get there: You can get to Disneyland from Paris from the Marne-la-Valais / Chessy train station on the RER suburban trains (line A). The park is a 35-minute drive away. There is a bus service between RER Station, Disneyland Hotels and the Amusement Park. If you decide to get to the park by car, you can also get to Disneyland via the A4 motorway.
Ticket: There are several types of entrance tickets to Disneyland. You can buy a ticket for 1 day in 1 park, for 1 day in 2 parks or a subscription for multiple visits to 2 parks within 5 days. A special fast pass is also provided, which indicates the time period in which you can get to the attraction without waiting in the general queue. The cost of a ticket to Disneyland – from 39 euros.
Amusement Park Europa-Park, which is located in the south-west of Germany in Baden-Württemberg, ranks second in the ranking of European amusement parks after Disneyland Paris. In 11 thematic parts of the park on an area of 65 hectares there are various attractions made in the form of miniature copies of European states: France, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Italy, Holland Portugal, Great Britain, Spain, Greece, and the Scandinavian countries.
Hours: Europa-Park in Germany is open daily from March 23 to November 3 from 9:00 to 18:00. In the high season (period from July 25 to September 7) – until 19:30. From November 23 to January 6, the complex is open every day from 11:00 to 19:00.
How to get there: You can get to Europa-Park by company bus from the Baden-Baden / Baden Karlsruhe Airport (the journey takes about 45 minutes). You can also get from the airport in Basel (about 60 minutes). A reservation must be made 72 hours in advance.
Ticket: Entrance to the park is free for children under 4 years old and for those under 12 years old. For children from 4 to 11 years, a ticket to Europa-Park in the winter costs 28.50 euros, in the summer – 34 euros. For adults – 33 and 39 euros, respectively.
In Denmark, in the homeland of Lego, is the first and largest Legoland in the world. This amusement park has been operating since 1968. All the attractions – the water park, roller coasters and even the cableway are almost completely assembled from the children’s designer Lego. For all the “buildings”, the creators spent more than 46 million Lego blocks of various sizes. The area of the park is approximately 100 thousand square meters. The entire park area of the famous Danish Legoland is divided into 8 thematic sections, each of which is intended for children of a certain age.
Opening hours: Legoland is open daily from March 23 to October 27. Visits to the park are available from 10:00 to 21:00 in the summer, and until 18:00 in the spring and autumn. 2-3 hours before the closure of the main gates of the park, the functioning of the rides ceases.
Getting there: The park is located in Denmark, in a small town called Billund, which is located in the heart of the Jutland peninsula. You can get to the stop in front of the Legoland by bus from Copenhagen (3.4 hours) and Billund (15 minutes).
Ticket: The cost of a ticket to Legoland for children from 3 to 12 years old is 279 Danish kroner (about 37 euros). The total ticket price for adults (13 to 64 years old) is 299 Danish kroner (40 euros). If you book your tickets online in advance, you will receive a 25% discount.
